Your presentation was amazing…I have learned so much in x1 hr. I took notes, took pictures of some slides. Your presentation flowed well and just simply stated MADE SENSE. I also really really appreciated the reference to studies done, published work on your topic today.

The following will date me - my 88 yo Father is an example of someone who exhibits everything you spoke of in regard to the Auditory Deprivation – including the Brain drain, Cognitive decline-even tho he does wear his hearing devices at least 10-12 hrs per day-he takes them out for daily afternoon nap. I have watched his decline for years, tried to advocate for better audiological care/devices but always meet resistance from my mother…sometimes Father as well. Today’s information validates what I have seen and KNEW was happening-we hear with our brain, and my Father not getting what he needed.

With this information I can advocate so much more for others AND myself-as I have NEVER had a hearing test, am almost 66, do have hearing loss yet I am quite functional.
